Purchasing a Deposit Extension provides you with several options to save a vacation week that is in jeopardy. Here’s a few examples of when and why Deposit Extension could be useful:

• Your Deposit is like a Vacation Voucher

  When you deposit your vacation time with RCI, we assign it a Deposit Trading Power and hold it for you (for up to 2 years). If you don’t use your deposit, and don’t extend it, you lose the opportunity to vacation against it, which also means that you don’t get a vacation in return for the maintenance fees you already paid to your resort! Purchasing a Deposit Extension for 1, 3 or 6 months, up to one year, will save your deposit, giving you more time to exchange for a vacation you could have missed. And remember, you can purchase a deposit extension for your Deposit Credit too!

• You can't travel during your deposit timeframe.

  Many situations can arise limiting your ability to travel. Work, family or personal obligations can pile up and before you know it, you don’t have the time to travel during your deposit’s travel window. With the flexibility of Deposit Extensions you don’t have to worry about staying in that travel window! You can extend your deposit giving you the opportunity to travel at a time that is more convenient for you.

• You want to give your vacation week to family or friends but it expires soon.

  Sharing a vacation with loved ones can be a great gift but it may be difficult for them to plan in a short period of time. Purchasing a Deposit Extension will allow you to give the ones you care about your vacation week without the rush of having to plan immediately.

Combine Your Deposits. You can also combine your expiring deposit with another deposit or Deposit Credit. When you combine deposits and/or Deposit Credits, the travel window of the new Combined Deposit is good for 2 years from the date combined. The fee to combine is $109 USD.
